The Scituate Historical Society and the Town of Scituate invite you to the relighting of Scituate Light on National Lighthouse Day. It will be a grand celebration!
The program will feature the Scituate High School Brass Quartet, a Salute by the Hingham Militia, speakers, and several dignitaries presenting proclamations. The celebration will conclude with the lighting of the light and cutting of a special cake donated by Montilio’s Bakery with a taste of cake for all!
PLEASE NOTE: Neither the Lighthouse nor the Keepers Cottage will be open during this event.
Parking and Transportation Information:
- On August 7th, there will be no parking at the Lighthouse on Cedar Point after 7:00 AM.
- Shuttle Buses will be available at Scituate High School starting at 5:00 P.M. and will return attendees after the event.
- Handicapped parking only is available at the Lighthouse. Lighthouse and Rebecca Roads will allow for two-way traffic after 5:00 PM.
