Research Request Form

The Scituate Historical Society has extensive information on Scituate history and Scituate families. At our Schoolhouse Headquarters, Archives volunteers are experienced researchers and look forward to assisting you with your research questions.  Their services are provided at no cost.

While our Archives volunteers are knowledgeable about the Society’s collections and the contents of our libraries, please note that they are not professional genealogists. For professional genealogical resources, please refer to Other Research Resources.

To help you with your questions, our Archivist can provide research services at the rate of $25/hour. The average time for replies to be returned is two to three weeks after we receive your request. If your research also requires image or photo reproduction, please refer to our Image Reproduction Policy for additional fees and policies.

No fee research is available on a limited basis, and is conducted by volunteers, on a best effort basis.
